Master Dave Hopkins

The Dave Hopkins Kung Fu San Soo Association is dedicated to building up and unifying the San Soo community. We hold in high regard the teachings and memory of Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo and Master Al Rubin.

It is my desire that I not only train my students to fight and defend themselves, but to also build up character and confidence. I have done everything to continue my training to perfect my understanding of San Soo, and at the same time have trained in other Martial Arts to offer my students the best training possible. Dave Hopkins

• Dave was born in Moses Lake, Washington and has lived in Riverside for 40 years. He has been married for 30 years and has 3 kids, ages 30, 28 and 26.
• Trained 10 years under legendary Master Al Rubin, 1977-1987. He then trained for 5 years under Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo, receiving his Master's degree in 1989 at the age of 26. He continues to train and work with Masters worldwide in many different martial art styles. 
• Dave trained for 8 years in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the Machado Brothers.
• A certified instructor by both Master Al Rubin and Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo.
• Has over 30 years of teaching experience with adults and children.
• He has many students throughout the world and loves to travel and teach Kung Fu San Soo.
• Dave has also inducted into The Masters Hall of Fame in 2006.
